Hyperhomocysteinemia in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease

Abstract
Hyperhomocysteinemia has been recognized as a risk factor of atherosclerosis. This study was aimed to measure the risk of coronary artery disease in patients with hyperhomo- cysteinemia. Age, HDL level, tHey level and history of DM were independent risk factors for coronary artery disease. The level of tHey of 11.0 mmol/L provides the best sensitivity and spe- cificity of predicting coronary artery disease.
