Publication Fees for Articles Accepted for Publication in the Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand (JMAT)
Effective Date: June 1, 2026

To improve the efficiency and quality of the manuscript submission and publication process of the Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand (JMAT), the publication fees have been revised as follows:

1. Academic articles, original research articles, case reports, and review articles submitted by non-members of the Medical Association of Thailand are subject to a publication fee of THB 15,000 per article. For members of the Medical Association of Thailand, the publication fee is THB 10,000 per article. For international authors, the publication fee is USD 500 per article. All publication fees are exclusive of 7% Value Added Tax (VAT).

2. Authors who wish to order printed copies (hard copies) of the journal will be charged THB 400 per copy, excluding shipping costs. A minimum order of 10 copies is required. For orders exceeding 10 copies, authors are kindly requested to contact the JMAT Editorial Office for additional pricing information and related costs.

3. The Editorial Office will provide authors with the final formatted proof (galley proof) for proofreading and correction, together with details of the publication charges. Authors must return the corrected proof within 7 days. This stage is the final step prior to publication; therefore, no changes to authorship or author names will be permitted after proof approval.

4. Accepted manuscripts will be published within 6 months from the date the Editorial Office receives the final revised manuscript from the authors.

5. Authors are requested to pay the publication fee and any additional charges (if applicable), as specified in the invoice, within 30 days from the date the journal sends the formatted proof for proofreading. Delayed payment may affect the publication schedule.

6. Requests for publication fee waivers or discounts, in accordance with the journal’s policies, must be submitted at the time of the initial manuscript submission.
