HIGHLIGHTED ARTICLE

Comparing the Combined Flap Fixation and Harmonic Scalpel Technique with the Harmonic Scalpel Technique Alone in Reducing Seroma Formation after a Mastectomy and Axillary Lymph Node Dissection in a Breast Cancer Patient: A Randomized Controlled Trial
A randomized control trial showed that the combined flap fixation and Harmonic scalpel technique could reduce seroma formation and seroma volume after a mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection in a breast cancer patient.

Outcomes and Associated Factors Among Patients with Multidrug-Resistant Gram-Negative Bacilli Bacteremia at a Tertiary Care Hospital in Thailand
Patients admitted to hospital from a long-term care facility, had prior hospitalization within 90 days, or had genitourinary tract infection should receive empiric antibiotics covering MDR GNB pathogens. Further studies are needed to determine whether making these changes will result in improving survival among the study population.

Treatment Outcomes of Radiofrequency Ablation Using the Rafaelo Technique for Internal Hemorrhoids
The Rafaelo technique has demonstrated remarkable safety and effectiveness in treating grade 2-3 internal hemorrhoids. Notably, it minimizes postoperative pain and yields favorable outcomes at six months.

Incidence, Risk Factors, and Outcomes of Acute Kidney Injury in Major Burn Patients: A 7-Year Experience in Ramathibodi Hospital
The incidence of AKI in the first 7 days of BICU admission was 16%. Coagulopathy, defined as INR ≥1.5, was identified as an independent risk factor associated with early AKI in patients with major burns. Utilizing a simple value of INR could be a practical way to identify patients with major burns that may require further workup. Furthermore, the fluid balance cut point could be used as a warning signal of high risk for mortality during a weekly review of patients’ clinical rounds.
