Effect of 5-Minutes Prewarming on Perioperative Hypothermia During Gynecologic Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Five minutes of forced-air prewarming reduced the early fall in core temperature during gynecologic surgery under combined general and epidural anesthesia. The randomized trial found a 0.44°C smaller temperature decline at 60 minutes, offering practical evidence on preserving body heat when preparation time is short.
