Administering Bolus Intravenous Norepinephrine to Improve the Peripheral Arterial Line Cannulation: Randomized Controlled Trial
A five-microgram intervention with immediate bedside relevance. This blinded randomized trial shows that a small norepinephrine bolus before arterial-line placement reduced repeated punctures, shortened cannulation time, and lowered procedure-related complications, offering a simple, inexpensive way to improve conventional arterial access.
Development of a Thai Lexical Decision Task as a Tool for Premorbid Estimation of Cognitive Function
Thailand has long lacked a practical tool for estimating premorbid cognitive ability. This study introduces a 42-item Thai lexical decision task that remained stable under psychological distress while executive-function measures declined, providing an important first step toward culturally appropriate cognitive assessment.
The Coronal Alignment of Tibial Prosthesis in Total Knee Replacement with Lateralization of Tibial Plateau Reference Point
Asian knees do not always follow Western alignment principles. By tailoring the tibial reference point to each patient"s proximal tibial vara, surgeons reduced coronal malalignment outliers nearly fivefold. A modest technical refinement with the potential to improve radiographic alignment after total knee arthroplasty.
Factors Associated with Allergic Conjunctivitis in School-Aged Children in Pathum Thani Area
The greatest burden of allergic conjunctivitis may be the cases clinicians never see. Most affected students in this community study had never been diagnosed, while allergic rhinitis and household tobacco-smoke exposure emerged as the strongest associated factors, highlighting opportunities for earlier recognition and intervention.
Comparison of Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy With versus Without Consolidation FOLFOX in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer: A Retrospective Cohort Study
Real-world Thai data challenge expectations for tumor response. Patients receiving consolidation FOLFOX after chemoradiotherapy achieved substantially higher pathological complete response rates than those treated with chemoradiotherapy alone, adding clinically relevant evidence supporting total neoadjuvant treatment strategies in routine practice.
