A prospective study introduces 3D echocardiographic measurement of the inferior vena cava as a novel predictor of right atrial pressure. The newly derived parameter (IVC3DminCSA) improves noninvasive hemodynamic assessment and may enhance bedside evaluation of volume status compared with conventional 2D echocardiographic indices.

In a randomized double-blind trial, high-dose cisatracurium failed to demonstrate non-inferiority to standard-dose rocuronium for rapid-sequence intubation. Although providing acceptable conditions, cisatracurium showed slower onset, reinforcing rocuronium’s current role as the preferred neuromuscular blocker for rapid airway management.

A large EMS registry analysis from Bangkok shows that motorcycle-based first responders significantly shorten response times and increase return of spontaneous circulation in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The findings highlight motorlance deployment as a promising urban strategy to improve early resuscitation outcomes.

A revised radioiodine dosing protocol incorporating key clinical risk factors significantly improves treatment success in Graves’ disease. This pragmatic modification of conventional dosing calculations may enhance therapeutic outcomes and provide a simple strategy for optimizing radioiodine therapy in routine endocrine practice.

Real-world data reveal markedly poorer responses to first-line erlotinib in metastatic NSCLC harboring uncommon or compound EGFR mutations compared with common mutations. The study underscores the clinical heterogeneity of EGFR-mutant disease and highlights the need for mutation-specific therapeutic strategies.
